Teacher Training
at Nice Time Pilates

We’re excited to welcome Canadian Pilates Certification (CPC) to Nice Time Pilates for upcoming teacher training modules taught by CPC founders Shannon Shea and Tara Berry.

Nice Time Pilates is the host location, while all training, certification, registration and payments are managed directly by Canadian Pilates Certification.

Canadian Pilates Certification is dedicated to developing confident, skilled, and thoughtful Pilates instructors. The program blends strong anatomical knowledge, intelligent sequencing, and the classical principles of Pilates with modern, evidence-informed movement education. Tara and Shannon believe the mind–body connection is the foundation of powerful teaching and that Pilates principles can elevate all forms of movement.

This certification course is designed for those who want more than just a credential—it is for future instructors who want to teach with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Shannon Shea is a Senior Applied Educator and co-owner of Nice Time Pilates. With over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 25 years of personal Pilates practice, Shannon brings a grounded, experience-based approach to movement education. Her path to Pilates began while living in Australia, where she was introduced to the method as a response to chronic back pain. That experience shaped her belief in Pilates as both a rehabilitative and empowering movement practice — one that supports longevity, resilience, and intelligent strength.
Shannon Shea is comprehensively trained in Pilates (mat and all apparatus), with additional professional training and certifications that include study through Balanced Body, Garuda, and The Pilates Center. Her education includes study within established lineages of the Pilates method, informed by teachers and institutions closely connected to second-generation Pilates pedagogy and the original work of Joseph Pilates. She also holds her 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher certifications and has participated in numerous yoga teacher training programs as an educator.
Shannon has trained teachers across several training programs, many of whom continue to teach professionally today. In addition to her work with teacher training, Shannon educates and mentors instructors at Nice Time Pilates in a real-world studio setting, supporting both apprentice and experienced teachers as they develop strong fundamentals and an authentic teaching voice.
